My client, a global membership company operating in a dynamic sector, is looking for a Membership Engagement Director to lead membership engagement and business development, including attraction, recruitment, retention, and renewal. This role acts as the “Voice” of the members in the Leadership Team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Member Engagement Team (Regional Client Engagement Consultants, Membership Services Specialist)
- Oversee client engagement for Europe and Africa
- Develop and Manage Member Engagement processes (attraction, development, acquisition, onboarding, retention)
- Identify and develop new member value opportunities
- Develop and manage annual membership services budget
- Manage membership services projects
- Lead the validation and update of member data in the CRM system
- Report on Membership statistics (new members, retention, losses)
- Run membership surveys and insights into associated projects
- Work in partnership with Marketing, Communications and Events to develop member content and speakers at events and drive member attendance
- Working with Marketing, Communications and Events to develop membership support e.g. Web pages, brochures, member value webinars, member app, branded merchandise etc.
Required Skills and Experience
Essential
- Proven experience in global corporate membership engagement
- Experience in developing and delivering an excellent member value proposition for not-for-profit trade associations
- Strong leadership skills
- Strong presentation skills
- Good understanding of Key Account Management Principles
Desirable
- Knowledge of the offshore energy industry (ideally both Oil and Gas and Renewables)
