Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Network Engineer to join our team with expertise in virtualisation, storage, backups & VDI. The ideal candidate will design, implement, and manage resilient network infrastructure solutions that ensure optimal reliability, scalability, and performance.\\nReporting to Tech Operations Manager, you will be working as a part of a small team providing remote and on-site network infrastructure support for the business in the UK and International.\\nResponsibilities\\n * Design and deploy functional networks (LAN, WLAN, WAN)\\n * Configure and install software and network devices\\n * Monitor network performance and integrity\\n * Resolve issues tiers of support have escalated by troubleshooting cloud and local infrastructure\\n * Automate tasks and monitor their effectiveness\\n * Mentor team members on technical issues\\n * Create, oversee and test security measures (e.g. access authentication and disaster recovery)\\n * Communicate with users when needed\\n * Maintain complete technical documentation\\n * Suggest improvements to network performance, capacity and scalability\\nRequirements & Skills\\n * Industry-related experience as a Senior Network Engineer or Network Administrator\\n * Professional certification (e.g.
CCNP, CCDP) or proven knowledge on this lever\\n * Solid background in network administration and architecture\\n * In-depth understanding of communication protocols (mainly TCP/IP) and routing protocols (e.g. BGP)\\n * Familiarity with access control models and network security\\n * Knowledge of coding languages for scripting (e.g Python, Perl) is an advantage\\n * Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring and analysis tools (e.g. SolarWinds network tools)\\n * Solid understanding of network operating systems (Cisco NX-OS, IOS-XE)\\n * Proven experience with Palo Alto firewalls (Panorama, PAN-OS, LSVPN)\\n * Sharp troubleshooting skills\\n * Ability to work independently\\n * Organizational and mentoring skills
