Base pay range

Head of Finance | PE Backed Tech | Watford/Hybrid

Salary: £100,000 – £110,000 (Depending on experience) – Plus excellent benefits including bonus and share options.

We are thrilled to announce our partnership with a dynamic, tech-enabled services company following their first institutional investment.

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller with over 5 years of experience who is ready to advance to a Finance Director (FD) role.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of implementing new systems and controls in a scaling environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Internal Controls and Processes:

• Establish robust internal controls across accounts payable (AP) and payroll, ensuring clear segregation of duties.
• Develop and implement clear cost centers across the business to enhance financial tracking and accountability.
• Ensure a robust month-end close process, including monthly reconciliations (e.g., booking system vs. Xero).

• Implement new revenue recognition policies and processes to align with the company’s growth and financial goals.
• Continuously review and refine financial policies to ensure compliance and efficiency.

• Explore and implement automation opportunities to scale the finance team and improve operational efficiency.
• Leverage technology to streamline financial processes and reporting.

• Prepare the business for significant revenue growth, aiming to double revenue within the next 12 months and again by 2026.
• Provide strategic financial insights and support to the executive team to drive business growth and profitability.

Qualifications:

• Over 5 years of experience as a Financial Controller/Head of Finance.
• Proven experience in implementing new systems and controls in a scaling environment.
• Strong understanding of financial processes, internal controls, and revenue recognition.
• Proficiency in financial software (e.g., Xero) and automation tools.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
