Vice President – Valuations – Private Equity Real Estate

An established and rapidly growing alternative asset manager is seeking an experienced Vice President of Valuations to play a critical role in overseeing valuations and financial reporting across a diverse range of investment strategies, including real estate-backed debt and equity.

This is a rare opportunity to step into a high-profile role at a firm executing complex transactions while consistently growing in AUM. The successful candidate will lead the continued evolution of the valuation function, working closely with investment teams, auditors, and third-party valuation providers to deliver best-in-class reporting and financial control. With direct exposure to the Managing Partner , this role offers the chance to shape and enhance valuation processes at the highest level.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Build, lead, and oversee the valuation process for a diverse portfolio, including real estate-backed debt and equity investments.
  2. Develop and refine valuation models using market, income, and cost-based methodologies.
  3. Ensure consistency and accuracy in valuation approaches, collaborating with investment teams and external valuation specialists.
  4. Monitor fund performance metrics (IRR, NAV, and distribution waterfalls) and deliver strategic insights.
  5. Work closely with the CFO and senior leadership on financial planning, capital allocation, and investment strategy.
  6. Support investor relations by providing clear, timely, and transparent valuation data.

  2. Deep expertise in valuation methodologies, fund structures, and financial modeling.
  3. Advanced proficiency in Excel and valuation software, with a strong analytical mindset.
