The Global Change Lead will be responsible for supporting and delivering Change Management for transformation activities enterprise-wide. They will support the Head of Change Management in building global change capabilities, creating strategies and developing a global change toolkit to enable change capability in local site teams.
The Change Lead will support the Head of Change Management with the development and management of the Global Change function and capabilities. Ensuring that identified local Change Agents will be centrally supported by the Global Change Management Office. Each local site change network will be upskilled in change capabilities, therefore enabled to adopt change and transformation through a standardized global approach which will ensure successful transition into new ways of working and any process and technology changes.
The Global Change Lead supports development of the Global Change Toolkit and playbooks, to ensure readiness of the business to receive any new change initiative. This will be an evolving toolkit, based on learning from previous changes across the Business. Engaging central and regional teams to ensure successful delivery of change through global change methodologies, with a sharp focus on change impact assessments and business readiness. This position is also responsible for the effective delivery of role-based communications, creation of change artefacts and identifying any impacts of change.
The Global Change Lead will be a key point of contact between the local teams and the global Change Management function. The Global Change Management team/function is geographically remote, therefore proactive team engagement is required to build a cohesive and collaborative team of highly engaged and dedicated Change Leaders across the business. Continuous improvement of the global change toolkit and change methodology is key to enablement. The Change Lead will need to have good cultural awareness and have worked in global change roles before in a matrixed and highly regulated environment.
Responsibilities:
- Work with Head of Change Management in building global change capabilities, tools and templates.
- Develop and create a change management toolkit and playbooks that can be localized for regional use.
- Create strategies that encourage adoption of the changes required by global change programmes and align with our strategic vision and direction.
- Create actionable deliverables: Change Management plans, Communications Plan, Sponsorship Roadmap, Coaching Plan, Resistance Management Plan and Change Impact summaries and templates.
- Be the primary point of contact between the Global Change Management Team and Local Change leaders.
- Work with local site leads to support completion and delivery of change interventions.
- Work with local Change Managers to confirm communications and training delivery methods.
- Support the execution of change plans that drives change and embeds new ways of working.
- Support the local market in achieving change success through education and coaching.
- Deliver targeted global change communications, localized with regional/local change leads.
- Management and development of local change managers and on-site stakeholders, supporting on tasks such as local Change Impact Assessments (CIAs), training preparation and readiness activities.
- Provide support with global toolkit and playbooks: Localisation of communications materials, readiness and other local change actions as required by the Global Change Plan.
- Manage local site stakeholders and cascade change communications to sites as per global change communications and Engagement plans.
- Provide support to local teams with capabilities and templates, escalating and/or mitigating where required to ensure no blockers to change.
- Support local teams and group function to ensure the planned change management activities are completed to the agreed timelines by the sites.
- Work closely with Head of Change Management to ensure effective coaching, education, upskilling and communications of changes are delivered to local stakeholders according to timelines.
Professional Qualifications/Experience:
- Over 5 years Change Management experience – (Delivery of Culture, process and technology-enabled change and changes to ways of working).
- Global transformation experience required.
- Experience in embedding new ways of working.
- Experience of working in a complex, dynamic, time-pressured and matrix environment.
- Some experience of delivering Change Management activities within Mergers and Acquisitions and Business restructure is preferred but not essential.
- Excellent English language skills both verbal and written.
- Must have experience of a similar role before, in Global Change Capability development and delivery.
- Demonstrates strong communication and influencing skills both verbally and written.
- Has experience of and deep understanding of Change Management practices and methodologies and is confident in explaining these to all levels of the organisation.
- Prosci Change Practitioner is highly desirable.
- French (or an additional European language such as Dutch or German) is highly desirable but not essential.
