We're now looking for a passionate and experienced Sous Chef to join our kitchen team and help us continue to deliver exceptional food in a fast-paced environment.
The Role: As Sous Chef, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day running of the kitchen, supporting the Head Chef with menu execution, team leadership, and maintaining high standards of food quality, hygiene, and service. This is a hands-on role ideal for a chef who thrives in a busy kitchen and has a genuine love for fresh, seasonal cooking.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Chef in managing the kitchen team and daily operations
- Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality, freshly prepared dishes
- Take charge in the Head Chef's absence
- Help develop seasonal menus and daily specials using fresh, local produce
- Maintain kitchen hygiene standards and ensure full compliance with food safety regulations
- Train and motivate junior kitchen staff
- Manage stock levels, ordering, and waste reduction
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Sous Chef or strong Junior Sous Chef in a fresh food environment
- Genuine passion for cooking with fresh, seasonal ingredients
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to perform under pressure and maintain a calm, professional demeanor
- Understanding of food safety and kitchen health & safety regulations
- Reliable, enthusiastic, and team-oriented
