What you’ll do
We are looking for a Senior Operations Manager, who will be accountable for the delivery of all engineering and project related activity on the Scottish Power Energy Networks (SPEN) contract. This covers all provision activities within projects, smaller MACD (Move, Add, Change, Delete), maintenance activity, 24/7 support/monitoring and 24/7 fault response for engineers to site.
This is a critical role leading on provision of the technical resources that will deliver and operate end-to-end solutions for the SPEN customer.
The Senior Operations Manager will ensure that, during the design phase, input is provided into the solutions being proposed to ensure right sizing of resources and assist in identification of risks and caveats. The role holder will also ensure that all available resources will be managed to meet current and future demands of the business. The Senior Operations Manager will be responsible for managing the Professional Services budget allocated to the SPEN customer, as well as demand planning, capacity management and implementing predictable, sustainable and scalable tools and processes.
Who you are
Conceptual agility, being able to form and present highly complex concepts to a wide audience
Ability to build influential and effective relationships with senior business stakeholders
Significant experience of the Telecoms Fixed access market
Proven track record for managing resource for delivery of large scale, complex projects delivering IT/Telco customer solutions; demonstrable leadership skills and organisational experience
Knowledge and experience of IT / Telecoms delivery and service / support methodologies (e.g. ITIL)
Technical Master’s degree or equivalent
Proven leadership experience with a track record of managing large operational teams
Strong business process framework knowledge (ITIL preferable)
