Energy Trading Operations Director – €100-160k basic + Bonus + Benefits – Paris or Brussels based 3 days per week
Global Energy Trading Consultancy seeks a Head of Energy Trading Operations (Director) based from Paris or Brussels.
You will join a global energy trading consulting business that provides an end-to-end software and services solution to their Gas & Power Trading clients. They have a bespoke ETRM software system that they implement and support, and provide a 24/7 shift trading/operations service to their global clients.
This role is to be the Director / Head of and leader of this 24/7 energy trading support / shift trading business. Your role will NOT be hands-on in doing the shift trading work and you will NOT be working out-of-hours; this is a normal 9am-5pm CET role.
The successful Energy Trading Operations Director will manage teams of Shift Traders globally through your Team Leaders in each global office, making this a people management/leadership role that is also very strategic and client-facing. Although my client is already established with over 50 clients globally, they have big plans and are looking for an Energy Trading Operations Director to help them grow.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Gas & Power Trading professional with strong management skills who wants to be more commercial, widen your scope, and be part of growing a global energy trading consulting business.
Key skills needed:
- Strong Gas & Power Trading experience/knowledge gained working for an energy trading client or for an energy trading management consultancy.
- If you have worked for an energy trading consultancy, strong energy trading (Front Office) specific project delivery experience is required.
- Strong managerial / people leadership experience is essential.
- Previous client-facing / consulting experience would be very useful but not essential.
- You need to be able to commute to their Paris or Brussels office 3 days per week.
- Fluency in English is essential; any fluency in French is useful.
- Bright, degree educated.
