The role
You will get the chance to work on a range of our high-profile projects across a range of sectors including luxury retail and stadia, venues & arenas.
Who we would love to work with us…
- Min 5 years experience in similar role.
- Proven experience as a Construction Manager or similar in a main contracting environment, managing several subcontractors all with interfaces to each other.
- Ability to monitor progress, identify root cause programme issues and resolve site issues timely.
- Familiarity with construction materials, equipment, systems and installation techniques preferable in drylining / partitions β scaffolding.
- A good working knowledge of MEP systems β fire alarm, LV power, ventilation etc.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills to collaborate with various site stakeholders.
- Ability to analyse and resolve complex problems in a fast-paced construction environment.
- Proficient in using Project Management software, spreadsheets, and other relevant tools β preferably Procore β MS Projects.
What our new Project Manager will be responsible for…
Site Management
- Responsible for ensuring company H&S compliance on site.
- Be directly responsible for the day to day running on site of the drylining partitioning, MEP and scaffolding requirements, in areas defined by Contracts Manager.
- Responsible for attending any co-ordination / site meetings that are required to execute the works.
Logistics and Inventory Control
- Develop and implement efficient logistics plans to ensure the timely delivery of materials and equipment for the project works. Liaison will be required with subcontractors, other site stakeholders, logistic providers and transport companies.
- Implement inventory control procedure to reduce waste, minimise storage costs, and maximise efficiency.
- Ensure that regulatory H&S inspections are completed and recorded in a filing structure.
Package Co-ordination
- Collaborate with other site contracts managers, project managers, site managers and other stakeholders to define package scopes, specifications, and programmes.
- Make accurate records of site progress β provide a weekly report to contracts manager.
- Ensure works are progressed to programme to prevent delays to follow on package trades.
- Ensure that escalation management process is followed on immediate basis if and when required.
Quality and compliance
- Ensure that the quality and compliance inspection test plan is implemented on site.
- Ensure that an inspection process is implemented and completed on site with Clients Technical advisor, and that records are kept and maintained of inspections completed prior to closing up of walls / steelwork.
- Ensuring that Quality management risk is managed with supply chain subcontractors.
- Stay updated with industry regulations, codes and standards, ensuring compliance in all package-related activities.
