Job Summary
We are offering an excellent opportunity for a highly enthusiastic and motivated person to join a local organisation, which specialises in the innovative design, manufacture, supply and installation of energy efficient Compressed Air Purification Equipment. The successful applicant should ideally have previous experience in air Compressors or a related industry.
Responsibilities
- Carry out service work, installations, repairs, maintenance and commissioning of compressor and compressed air equipment.
- Adhere to all regulatory Health & Safety requirements and follow client procedures.
- Keep the customer informed and ensure that any work is carried out with their approval.
- Maintain accurate service data through diligent use of service documentation and technical data.
- Liaise with the Service Manager and office-based personnel to achieve a clear understanding of specific job requirements prior to setting out on a job.
- Keep the service office informed of any changes in plans/timescales. Share solutions with colleagues.
- Liaise with Engineering team on service-related items ensuring a clear and effective line of communication is maintained.
- Work methodically and maintain a clean and tidy work area. Aim to complete repairs on a first hit visit, completing work to a high standard.
- Take part in technical training as required (may involve travel within or outside UK).
- To be competent in using a tablet or mobile phone for service reporting on our Field Motion accounts.
Basic Qualifications
- Their own transportation and a full clean driving licence
- Ideally F- Gas qualification (City & Guilds or NVQ).
- Ideally Engineering qualification.
- Multi-skilled maintenance engineer with demonstrable fault finding/problem solving skills in industrial electrical and mechanical engineering.
- Proven Engineering background and of communicating successfully with colleagues and customers at all levels.
- IT Literate, Report writing skills, Telephone skills.
- Ability to work on own initiative and as a team player.
- Flexible working pattern to fulfil commitments, sometimes outside the working day.
