Location: London, England, United Kingdom

About the role:

Working with our client, a luxury fashion brand, the Motion Editor role will be involved in the creation, versioning and adaptation of digital content. We’re looking for someone who will effortlessly immerse themselves in the brand while using their post-production expertise and people skills to jump straight into a vibrant and creative video production environment.

You’ll be working closely with another Motion Editor and other creatives in the execution of high-quality video content. The core contract work is adaptation based but there is occasional opportunity for creative input. Experience of delivering digital video content, across a range of platforms and markets, as well as a creative and innovative can-do approach to the work are a must.

Previous experience in the fashion/luxury goods market is a definite plus.

This role is client-facing, and you’ll work closely with both internal stakeholders and clients; as such, a professional attitude and flexible working approach is essential.

What you will be doing:

  • Creative flair to create engaging edits
  • Brand identity compliance
  • Editing content for multi-channel delivery
  • Adaptation of master edits for new channels and formats
  • Versioning and cropping assets for new sizes
  • Assisting in the execution of transcreation/translation of video projects
  • Adding subtitles
  • Basic motion graphics/super creation
  • Organising and archiving of video assets
  • Responding to urgent requests for amends, encodes and delivery
  • Ensuring that server naming and archiving conventions are adhered to
  • You will be open and willing to attend sustainability training relevant to your role and soak up recommended research and reading about sustainability issues

What you need to be great in this role:

  • Experience in editing and colour grading within DaVinci Resolve
  • Proven track record within a production agency or production company
  • Calm, careful, and organised
  • Build relationships with trust and confidence of senior management, partners and clients
  • Excellent knowledge of Premiere Pro and After Effects; Photoshop and Illustrator is a plus
  • Good understanding of codecs and encoding for a wide variety of platforms
  • A background in re-versioning and re-editing assets for new channels
  • Ability to keep on top of multiple edits with multiple delivery outputs and formats
  • Experience of working within a luxury fashion brand
  • Solid understanding of the strengths and limitations of various digital channels
  • Interest in cutting-edge production technologies/products and how these are deployed
  • Willing to help on other briefs, such as print and digital statics with training provided
  • Figma knowledge is a plus
