JOB TITLE: Special Events Manager

DEPARTMENT: Non Matchday Events

JOB FUNCTION: To lead on all CFC Special Events profit and non-profit events.

DIRECT REPORTS: Special Events Executive

LOCATION: Stamford Bridge, some travel will be required

CONTRACT: Permanent, 35 hours any 5 of 7

PLAY YOUR PART (Main Responsibilities):

  • Creative and operational responsibility for CFC special events, including (but not exclusively) Player of the Year, Annual Lunch, award Dinners, Memorial events, virtual, hybrid engagement events, player, and charity partner events.
  • P&L management for all CFC Special events including budgeting process and pricing models.
  • Support Stadium Events Manager on all charity and profit & non-profit stadium matchdays
  • Lead all necessary depts to bring events together from content, ticketing, fan engagement, operations, and facilities.
  • Support NMD team on all internal and Foundation events

  • To maximise the calendar for fan engaging and VIP events, ensure broad spectrum.
  • Successful delivery and development of Chelsea special events, including (but not exclusively) Player of the Year and Annual Lunch
  • Successful delivery of all VIP and profit & non-profit events hosted at Stamford Bridge

Qualifications:

  • Highly organised with business acumen, ability to make decisions
  • Proven experience in budget management
  • Strategic planning skills and experience in delivering challenging events in a time pressured environment
  • Substantial industry knowledge

Experience:

  • Accustomed to operating at high levels both internally & externally
  • Budget planning & financials
  • CRM experience is desirable

Skills and Behaviours:

  • Sound decision maker
  • Excellent team participator and contributor within all areas of the business
  • Ability to work in a demanding, pressurised, and complex environment
  • Highly skilled in delivering a customer experience of the highest quality
