Live Nation is seeking a skilled Marketing Director, Asia, to join as an integral member of the regional touring team.
Although this role is listed as \’hybrid\’ with the location as England, United Kingdom, please note that it is a full-time, on-site position requiring the successful candidate to be based in Asia. This listing aims to reach a broader audience.
This role requires a detail-oriented professional with excellent leadership and communication skills, the ability to solve problems and to work efficiently on multiple projects independently, and to work across multiple markets and cultures seamlessly.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in entertainment marketing, digital strategy, ad buying, and partnership activation. The role is centred around working across all facets of tour marketing across the Asia region.
Our touring markets include China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Thailand, Taiwan, The Philippines and Singapore. The Marketing Director will lead the development and execution of all marketing strategies that drive regional ticket sales, build relationships with artists, and ultimately contribute to the success of our business.
WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO
- Lead marketing efforts for tour announcements and on-sales across Asia, including but not limited to overseeing marketing plans, social messaging, website build, tracking and communicating key metrics.
- Act as the main point of contact with artists and music agencies on all marketing-related tasks, ensuring all business goals are met and expectations exceeded to deliver success to tours.
- Work closely with stakeholders to help build and implement marketing strategies for tours, covering ticketing, media buy, brand partners, PR etc.
- Manage a regional team (tour marketing + digital marketing) to high standards through clear communication of goals and expectations.
- Provide guidance to team members, solve problems, and delegate tasks.
- Train and motivate a group of highly knowledgeable local marketers across the region, encouraging creative and strategic thinking.
- Give direction to local markets on strategies, increase sales conversion, and uphold high marketing standards across all tours.
- Analyze market performance and trends to identify sales opportunities, leveraging research, insights, forecasts, and consumer data to shape strategies that enhance market share and increase sales across the region.
- Oversee approved marketing budgets and promotions, including tracking all associated spending and settlement for all events.
- Seek and integrate innovative digital tools and technologies to elevate marketing efforts and expand the team’s capabilities.
- Provide sound knowledge and expertise in digital platforms and channels to enhance performances in all markets.
- Work closely with all stakeholders to drive and implement special regional events, promotions, and engagement programs.
- Identify regional media partnerships and propose cost-saving campaigns to local marketing teams.
- Other duties as assigned that could be market-specific and cross-functional.
WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING
- 10+ years of experience in entertainment marketing with a proven track record of driving sales through strategic marketing.
- Strong leadership skills to lead tour and digital marketing in the region.
- Working experiences/relationships with major music agencies and labels preferred.
- Strong understanding of the entertainment global landscape.
- Knowledge in sales processes and customer journey optimization, able to focus on higher conversions of buyers.
- Strong presentation skills to effectively articulate ideas internally and externally.
- Team player able to coordinate with senior level executives across Asia and the Global team within the company.
- Excellent communication skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain, manage, and communicate deadlines, roadblocks, and escalations as needed.
- Extremely resourceful and high degree of self-initiative.
- Strong desire to understand cultural norms and values across Asia and work across multicultural teams.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple deadlines, solve multiple problems at once.
- Conversant in popular culture.
- Entertainment marketing experience in Asia a plus.
- Willingness to be based in Asia, travel, and be onsite for events throughout the year.
- The role requires being based in Asia, with the exact location to be determined and subject to visa authorization for that location.
