We are recruiting for an Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst in the North Eastern region. Our client is a successful and leading name within the Asbestos industry, who have a busy portfolio of contracts across the region. They are seeking someone who has a professional manner and will integrate smoothly into their team. Applicants must hold industry-relevant qualifications, in addition to proven on-site experience, as you will be expected to hit the ground running. You will be travelling across: Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Hebburn, Gateshead, Cramlington, Blyth, Whitley Bay, North Shields, South Shields, Sunderland, Washington, Chester-le-Street, Stanley, Consett, Prudhoe, Blaydon, Bedlington, Ashington, Durham, Houghton Le Spring, Seaham, Coxhoe, Spennymoor, Bishop Auckland, Darlington, Middlesborough, Hartlepool, Thornaby, Yarm, Redcar.
Experience / Qualifications:
* Must hold the BOHS P402, P403 and P404 (or RSPH equivalents)
* Experience working as an Asbestos Surveyor / Analyst within a UKAS accredited company
* Robust knowledge of HSG 264 and HSG 248 guidelines
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Good literacy and numeracy skill
* Proficient in using IT software
The Role:
* Undertaking management, refurbishment and demolition asbestos surveys across commercial, industrial and domestic client sites
* Conducting 4 stage clearances
* Completing personal, background, leak, smoke and reassurance air testing
* Obtaining asbestos samples whilst on site
* Producing bespoke technical reports
* Meeting with clients to provide technical advice and project updates
* Ensuring asbestos removal works are completed in a safe manner
* Wearing correct PPE at all times
* Maintaining the strong reputation of the company
