About the role

You will join a team that’s passionate about financial control in all its forms. You will be trained to work on a diverse range of debtor’s ledgers including Commercial debt, Student debt (Tuition and Accommodation), Corporate Sponsors, and Subsidiaries ranging from property to energy. Key tasks include:

  • Managing the sales ledger in line with collection strategies and policies.
  • Query resolution and negotiating payment plans.
  • Overseeing collection agency referrals, legal cases, and credit referencing.
  • Forming lasting partnerships with all stakeholders.
  • Performing general accounts receivable and OTC (order to cash) activities.

About you

You may be from a finance, risk, or receivables background with an understanding of invoicing and cashiering processes. Desirable qualities include:

  • Organised and proactive. You thrive in a fast-paced and varied environment.
  • A positive outlook. You work well as part of a team or independently.
  • Able to prioritise your workload whilst maintaining high levels of accuracy.
  • Interpersonal skills – you have the curiosity, initiative, and drive to solve problems.
  • Experience in the HE sector and use of Oracle Fusion is desirable but not essential.

What’s on offer?

  • A friendly, diverse, and supportive working environment.
  • A hybrid working arrangement with a blended approach of home and office working each week.
  • Generous holiday entitlement of 27 days plus standard bank holidays and five university closure days including closure between Christmas and New Year.
  • Staff development through training, continued support, and career progression opportunities.
  • A wide range of benefits and rewards, including fitness and health facilities, staff discounts, travel schemes, and many more. For more information, follow the link to our benefits website.

Interested, but don’t tick every box? We encourage you to apply anyway. Your aptitude, motivation, and delivery focus are just as important as your skill set. The post is offered on a permanent, full-time (36.25 hours per week) contract.
