Luminance, a market-leading AI company, is seeking a Legal Analyst to join our dynamic Legal Analyst Team. The company has grown by 5x over the last 2 years, raised a $115m Series C funding round and is rapidly expanding globally, with enterprise customers. This role presents an exciting opportunity to contribute towards the advancement of the AI that underpins Luminance’s Corporate product.

As a Legal Analyst, you will:
- Develop and refine the quality of our pre-built knowledge base of contracts and clauses by conducting regular contractual analysis and legal research to develop Luminance’s AI understanding.
- Participate in the quality assurance process for new AI releases which involves testing any new AI upgrades, assessing the performance of the AI and its accuracy and providing feedback to the development teams.
- Provide key legal insights to the wider Research and Development team in order to further refine and extend the capabilities of the AI and its detection of legal concepts.
What we are looking for:
- Graduated with LLB Law (2:1) or LPC (Commendation).
- Understanding of contract law including negotiating commercial agreements.
- Legal research and legal data analysis skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Strong experience in problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in an innovative and fast-paced environment whilst delivering to deadlines.
- Comfortable with learning and utilising various software programmes and digital tools.
- Legal experience considered favourably such as paralegal, legal assistant or contract manager experience, with the ability to understand legal contracts and negotiation positions.
