National Fleet Manager – Remote Role

As our National Fleet Manager , you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring our fleet is fully optimized to support business operations across the UK.
Your Role:
Oversee and manage our fleet of tractor units, rigids, and trailers , ensuring operational efficiency and compliance.
Develop and control fleet Capex budgets , advising on cost-effective solutions for replacements and procurement.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of our fleet, including vehicle specifications, MOT, TAX, and mileage data.
Implement and manage a best-in-class Fleet Management System across all Group workshops.
️ Work with Workshop Managers to ensure maintenance, repairs, and compliance standards are met.
Conduct regular audits of workshop facilities, ensuring safety, efficiency, and legal compliance.
Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers to drive cost-effective solutions and operational improvements.
Manage company car sourcing, ensuring adherence to Group policies.
Lead and support training initiatives for workshop employees and apprentices.
What We’re Looking For:
Proven Fleet Management experience within the transport industry .
Strong knowledge of procurement, budgeting, and compliance .
Excellent negotiation skills and ability to secure the best deals.
Strong IT skills, with the ability to learn and implement new systems.
Heavy vehicle maintenance qualification (desirable).
A problem-solving mindset with a future-focused, commercial approach .
Strong communication and leadership skills.
