Job Description

Purpose of Role: The principal responsibilities of the Ophthalmic Area Manager will be to provide an interface with key target customers specifically in Ophthalmic IOLs (intra-ocular lenses).\\nPrincipal Duties and Responsibilities:\\n * Develop relationships with key customers into lasting business partnerships.\\n * Business planning and implementation throughout area of responsibility.\\n * Development of new business opportunities and determination of new client and market potential.\\n * Implementation of new product launches and other corporate activities within area of responsibility.\\n * Presenting, demonstrating and securing orders. Seeking out opportunities.\\n * Assisting customers with clinical, technical and commercial enquiries.\\n * Systematic collection, presentation and interpretation of market and competitor information.\\n * Provide feedback on customers, promotional programs and environmental changes and provide ideas to improve product and company performance in the marketplace.\\n * Attendance at relevant conferences and meetings.\\nRequirements\\n * A proven track record in sales of at least 3 years.\\n * Medical Sales would be an advantage but not essential.\\n * Comfortable working in operating theatres.\\n * Target-driven with an ability to "close" sales.\\n * Good communication Ability to communicate well and deliver a positive image of the company and its products.\\n * Excellent organizational and planning skills are a pre-requisite for this role as is a high reliance on personal drive and initiative.\\n * Commercially aware with excellent interpersonal and influencing skills and an ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.\\n * Practical experience in dealing with complex medical device technologies within a clinical background.\\n * Excellent interpersonal skills and persuasive personality.\\n * Proficient in MS and industry-specific applications.\\n * Full, clean driver’s License.\\nM.E.D Surgical\\nM.E.D.
