The HS2 Project Management Graduate programme is a two-year rotational programme that has been specifically tailored to build capability and competence in various aspects of project management. The programme will provide you with experience and exposure to the different aspects of project management through role rotations, ‘on-the-job’ training, technical qualifications, support from technical leads and mentoring.

- Delivery Management: A Delivery Management placement will build your understanding of how projects and programmes deliver to achieve the outcomes and benefits they have agreed to within the constraints of time, cost, and quality – the core of what project delivery is all about.
- Delivery Support Function: Project delivery is supported and delivered by many functions such as Construction; Health, Safety and Security; Engineering; Logistics; Planning; Sponsorship; etc. This placement will widen your understanding of the multitude of interfacing teams and the coordination between all parties required to achieve project success.

Does HS2 offer sponsorship if I do not have the Right to Work in the UK?
To be eligible to apply to the HS2 Graduate scheme for our September 2025 intake, any applicant will need to already have the ongoing Right to Work in the UK, that is not time-bound in any way.
Due to the nature of our organisation, HS2 cannot sponsor any applications as we do not hold the required sponsorship license from the UK Home Office and candidates are not allowed to sponsor themselves.
We appreciate the Right to Work question can be complex to understand, so if you are unsure of your Right to Work status in the UK, please email us at and we will be happy to advise further. Please note, to enable HS2 to comply with UK Home Office policy, your Right to Work status will be checked early in the recruitment process.
