Our Central Projects Team is the driving force behind strategic project success: delivering innovative solutions, operational excellence, and sustainable growth across the group.
We are seeking an energetic, highly organised, people-centric PMO Manager, with ideally 2-3 years of experience, to support project management initiatives within our international technology distribution business.
This role will focus on driving business projects, focussed on business transformation and integrations, ensuring the successful delivery of key initiatives that contribute to profitable growth and operational excellence.
The role will oversee project delivery, process optimisation, and alignment between organisational objectives and project execution. The role requires leadership in driving agile methodologies, stakeholder communication, and risk management, ensuring that we bring people on the journey to deliver projects on time and within budget.
The role will be required to travel as and when required for business needs.
Role Responsibilities
Project Scoping and Planning
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria.
- Develop project charters, work breakdown structures, and schedules while identifying resource requirements.
- Ensure alignment of project scope with business goals, ensuring feasibility and realistic timeframes.
- Review and manage changes to project scope, assessing the impact on timelines, budgets, and resources.
PMO Management & Project Oversight
- Establish and maintain PMO frameworks and best practices, ensuring effective project governance and consistency in delivery.
- Manage a portfolio of projects across diverse business areas.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with organisational goals and objectives.
Agile and Traditional Project Management
- Apply both traditional (Waterfall) and Agile project management techniques, depending on the nature and scope of the project.
- Support cross-functional teams in managing milestones, resources, risks, and deliverables to ensure successful outcomes.
- Promote continuous improvement and flexibility in project delivery by leveraging lessons learned and feedback.
Additional Responsibilities
Governance, Risk Management, and Reporting
- Establish governance structures and maintain regular reporting on project performance, risks, and status updates to senior leadership.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks and issues to minimise project disruptions and ensure accountability.
- Ensure all projects comply with organisational standards and business requirements.
Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments to ensure seamless project execution.
- Manage stakeholder expectations through regular communication, progress reports, and issue resolution.
- Foster partnerships with external vendors and suppliers as necessary for project delivery.
Team Development and Coaching
- Support and coach project managers and team members on project management methodologies and best practices.
- Encourage a culture of learning and continuous improvement through post-project reviews and knowledge-sharing sessions.
- Ensure that quarterly exceeding expectations (EE) reviews are completed on time, ensuring that all team members have SMART objectives for the new quarter and that Personal Development Plans (PDPs) are up to date.
Weekly Reports
- Submit bi-weekly report, to capture an update on progress updates, watchouts- Reports must be a fair balance of operational and tactical and should be supported by evidence, ideally data and observations.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills
- BA/BSc degree, or work experience equivalent, in business, operations, project management, or change management or other relevant field.
- At least two years of relevant experience in project management, ideally applying agile methodologies or similar.
- Proven experience in scoping and delivering projects related to business transformation and / or integrations.
Certifications:
- Agile certification (e.g., Certified Scrum Master, AgilePM) is required.
- CAPM, PMP, PRINCE2, or relevant project management certification is preferred but not required.
Key Skills:
- Expertise in project scoping, planning, and managing changes to project scope.
- Knowledge of both traditional and Agile project management methodologies.
- Strong ability to assess feasibility and prioritise tasks while managing risks and resource constraints.
- Experience managing diverse scope of projects, ideally relating to business transformation or integrations.
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., ClickUp).
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Data driven and able to present meaningful insights.
