The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.
We are looking for a skilled and experienced manager to lead our refugee resettlement team until 11.04.26. This is a temporary role while the post holder is on secondment.
This is a varied and interesting role which includes strategic leadership and planning as well as very practical on-the-ground support to staff around planning and managing appropriate accommodation and meeting refugee support needs.
Our team of refugee resettlement workers support people who have come to the UK through routes including Homes for Ukraine, ARAP, UKRS, and ACRS. Our team will be starting to provide some follow-up support for refugees who have come through the Asylum process once they have full accepted status.
You will also line manage the YorHome letting agent who manages properties for private landlords which house many of the refugees we support.
We Are Looking For Someone With:
- Experience of managing people and budgets.
- Experience and understanding of the support needs of refugees.
- Ability to think creatively and problem-solve.
- Detailed understanding of the relevant legislation and the ability to keep up with changes in legislation and policy.
- Ability to think strategically and plan ahead for services in a fast-paced working environment.
- Ability to manage budgets including accessing funding which becomes available under specific programs.
- A ‘whole system’ thinker who can understand how services fit together and work collaboratively with other internal and external partners.

Hybrid working arrangements are available for this role. Each role at CYC is different and your working arrangements will be determined based on the requirements of the role and in collaboration with you and your needs as part of the recruitment process. Your contractual location will be the designated council office for your team.
