Are you an experienced Risk and Compliance professional looking for a high-impact role in a dynamic, fast-growing organisation? This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading financial services company at a group level, providing strategic support to senior leadership and driving best-in-class risk and compliance outcomes across the business.

The Role:

As the Group Risk and Compliance Officer , you will play a key role in overseeing the company’s Enterprise Risk Management and Compliance Frameworks, ensuring they are effectively maintained and continuously improved. Reporting to the Group Head of Risk and Compliance, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality risk and compliance reporting to senior management and supporting strategic initiatives, including M&A activity and regulatory change projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Group Head of Risk and Compliance in managing the Enterprise Risk Management Framework, including risk strategy, risk appetite, and policies.
  • Provide expert risk and compliance guidance to business units, ensuring regulatory requirements are met across the group.
  • Lead the coordination and completion of the Group’s annual Own Risk and Solvency Assessment (ORSA).
  • Produce key risk and compliance reports for senior management and various Risk Committees.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and assess their impact on the business, ensuring timely implementation of necessary adjustments.
  • Drive forward strategic risk and compliance projects, including improvements in risk assessment processes, data management, and AML alignment.
  • Support the Group’s M&A activities from a risk and compliance perspective, ensuring seamless integration of new acquisitions.

About You:

  • Strong experience in risk and compliance within financial services, ideally with knowledge of life (though not essential).
  • Deep understanding of enterprise risk management frameworks and regulatory compliance best practices.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency with Excel and risk systems to generate effective reporting.
  • A strategic thinker with a strong understanding of industry trends, regulatory developments, and economic factors influencing risk and compliance.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leadership and collaborate effectively across the business.
  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset with the ability to prioritise and deliver in a fast-paced environment.
