Principal Piping Engineer Job Opportunity

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Principal Piping Engineer to lead our engineering team in Aberdeen. The successful candidate will be accountable for executing piping engineering activities, ensuring technical quality and schedule compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Oversee piping engineering processes and personnel, driving continuous improvement in working practices and team efficiency.
  2. Provide discipline-specific input into tenders and proposals, supervising and allocating workloads to plant layout and piping engineering personnel.
  3. Maintain project plans, track progress, and manage cost control for assigned scopes, ensuring compliance with project budgets and schedules.
  4. Collaborate with Planning, Project Engineering, and Project Control functions to ensure smooth execution of projects.

Requirements

  1. Demonstrable experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
  2. UK bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in appropriate engineering subject (piping/mechanical).
  3. Chartered Engineer and member of appropriate engineering Institute.
  4. Sound technical background and expertise.
  5. Experienced in selection and use of applicable codes, practices, standards, and statutory documentation.

Additional Skills

  1. Competent in commercial, contractual, and administrative aspects of Engineering.
  2. Experienced in aspects of discipline design (including multi-discipline) and use of analytical methods including theoretic background.
