Managing Director/Nominated Individual – Children’s Homes

Are you a passionate and experienced leader in the children’s residential care sector?

ActiveSelect is looking for Managing directors and Nominated Individuals to join our team in establishing and managing a network of high-quality children’s homes specialising in Emotional Behavioural Disorders (EBD) in the UK.

This is an exceptional opportunity to:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Excellence: Oversee the smooth running of multiple children’s homes, ensuring high-quality care delivery, effective service delivery, and compliance with Ofsted regulations.
  • Leadership & Team Development: Lead, mentor, and support Registered Managers and their teams, fostering a positive and supportive work environment.
  • Strategic Development: Contribute to the strategic development of our services, identifying areas for improvement and implementing innovative solutions.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure full compliance with all relevant legislation, including Ofsted regulations and safeguarding requirements.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with local authorities, social workers, and other key stakeholders.

Essential Requirements:

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards it).
  • Extensive experience in managing children’s residential services.
  • Proven track record of successful Ofsted registrations and compliance.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of safeguarding and child protection legislation.
