I am currently working with a well-known company in the food business, who are looking to recruit a purchasing manager.

This is a well-known brand that has a larger presence in other markets but is looking to expand in the UK and across Europe. It\’s an exciting time to join a growing business within the food industry.

You will be purchasing a variety of food products, including fresh, frozen, and ambient items from the UK and globally.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Building and developing strong relationships with suppliers to support future business growth.
  2. Helping to input and improve processes and procedures across the purchasing function.
  3. Driving growth within the business.

An understanding of the food supply chain across Europe would also be beneficial.

Although a global brand, there is just a team of 30 based in the UK.

Initially, it will be home-based until the summer when they open their new offices in central London.

The role could suit someone in purchasing within the food industry, including any hospitality environment.
