Salary: £48,646.52 (gross) per annum inclusive of London Weighting, with a fixed sum allowance of £2,668. There is the ability to progress to £53,080.55 over the next 2 years.

The Labour Party is looking to recruit a Press and Broadcasting Officer. The post-holder will be responsible for developing and implementing a pro-active media and communications strategy and taking responsibility for the day-to-day presentation of the Party’s values, policies and campaigns within print and broadcast media.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a pro-active media and communications strategy.
  • Organise and run press conferences, media opportunities, and photo opportunities.
  • Write press releases, articles, blogs, and briefs.
  • Implement a social media strategy to maximise media coverage and boost online profiles.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team.
