We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Materials Scientist to join our dynamic team. This role focuses on the development and optimisation of our graphene-based sensor technologies, contributing significantly to our sensor-making processes.
Dare to have a mission:
Participate in research and development on carbon nanomaterials, particularly graphene, for use in sensor applications.
Develop carbon nanomaterials-based inks for manufacturing of sensors.
Work on the scalability of sensor fabrication processes, ensuring consistency and quality.
Analyse and interpret data, write reports, and present findings to stakeholders.
Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in carbon nanomaterials science.
Contribute to patent applications and academic publications as required.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project goals and deadlines.
Keep the materials inventory up to date and participate in the continuous improvement of the Health & Safety standards.
The tools in your backpack:
BSc degree with minimum 2 years’ experience in Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, Nanotechnology, or a related field.
Proven experience in a laboratory environment and familiarity with COSHH guidelines
Experience in working with carbon nanomaterials, particularly graphene is highly desirable.
Experience in sensor technology and its applications is desirable.
Experience in data analysis and scientific software tools.
Excellent problem-solving, organisational, and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
Experience in liquid deposition and instrumentation is considered an advantage.
