Digital Designer

We have an exciting new opportunity for a Digital Designer to join Robert Walters as a Consultant. As an employed Consultant, you will benefit from permanent employment with Robert Walters and will be deployed on an interim or project basis into our clients\’ organisations. In return, we will provide you with the opportunity to develop your skills with ongoing training and professional accreditations.

Summary of the role and expectations

  • Creative design work across multiple marketing campaigns and communications
  • Work side by side with other designers and content writers on ideation, execution, and delivery
  • Partner with marketing colleagues on creative briefs across paid, earned, and owned channels
  • Confidently manage and own projects from brief to delivery, working with multiple stakeholders
  • Maintain strong working relationships with team members, internal stakeholders, and external creative agencies for cohesive communication and effective design outcomes
  • Make decisions and move quickly – don’t be afraid to fail fast, learn, and start again
  • Ensure design guidelines, systems, and other best practices are followed throughout the design process
  • Present design decisions effectively to team members and stakeholders, confidently justifying your work
  • Quality check and proof all design and production output to ensure completed work is error-free, meets the brief, and achieves the desired design standards and brand guidelines
  • Peer review design work within the team as well as receive team feedback
  • Enhance all designs to meet the firm-wide accessibility standards
  • Ensure customers are at the heart of everything we do
  • Work with Compliance and Legal stakeholders to maintain full awareness and understanding of appropriate legislative approvals needed for relevant channels, ensuring all materials are consistent with legal conditions and codes of practice.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • You’ve been designing at an in-house studio or creative agency for at least 5 years, with the portfolio to back it up
  • You’re comfortable delivering multi-channel marketing projects with brand consistency
  • You have a meticulous attention to detail and are good at managing your own time
  • You’re able to respond quickly to urgent requests and prioritise in an agile way
  • Your portfolio shows your passion for design, showcasing your technical competency, creative thinking, and an understanding of customers
  • You’re comfortable using Figma and Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, After Effects, Photoshop, InDesign), with the ability to animate
  • You’re composed under pressure, maintaining a positive attitude
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative, team-oriented, cross-functional environment
  • You’re motivated, curious, and proactive, identifying when to challenge as well as when to pull back
  • You know how to give and receive feedback in a way that’s fair and useful

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Experience working in financial services or other regulated environments
  • Knowledge of video editing and Adobe Premiere Pro
  • Ability to create HTML5 banners
  • Experience with Jira and Confluence
