Job Summary

Cgi is seeking a Release Manager to oversee the planning, scheduling, coordination, and execution of software releases across various environments.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Release Planning & Coordination: Develop and maintain release schedules aligned with business objectives and technical teams.
  2. Process Management: Establish and optimize release management processes, including automation, deployment strategies, and rollback procedures.
  3. Collaboration: Work closely with development, QA, operations, and product teams for seamless integration and delivery of releases.
  4. Risk & Issue Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks associated with releases while resolving issues quickly.
  5. Deployment & Monitoring: Oversee deployment activities, validate successful releases, and monitor post-release performance for stability.
  6. Compliance & Documentation: Maintain detailed release notes, documentation, and ensure compliance with security and regulatory standards.

Required Qualifications

  1. Strong understanding of release management principles and software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  2. Experience with CI/CD pipelines, version control systems (e.g., Git), and deployment automation tools.
  3. Excellent project management, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
  4. Ability to analyze risks, troubleshoot issues, and manage stakeholder expectations.
  5. Strong communication skills to liaise between technical and business teams.
  6. Familiarity with agile and DevOps methodologies.
