The Global Advertising and Brand Management (GABM) team is responsible for creating marketplace demand and driving commerce for American Express products and services through differentiated and innovative branding, marketing, and experiences. We have an ambitious goal: to be the most admired brand in the Fortune 500 and we aim to deliver on that by doing work that is both creative and effective. The Operations & Research Enablement team sits within the Global Brand Strategy & Insights Team. We are responsible for providing governance, ensuring effective controls, and enabling a compliant, global market research process. We are seeking a Sr. Manager, Research Enablement who will enable impactful international insights via compliant and efficient research operations.
How will you make an impact in this role?
- Ensure international market research complies with Company policy and local market regulations (e.g., Privacy, Compliance)
- Enhance existing, and build new, market global research processes to drive increased agility and impact of research
- Oversee access to international customers for market research purposes, and enhance process for managing effectively across partners
- Deliver thought leadership around international compliance and research, while mitigating risk
- Collaborate with Research Agencies and GABM insights team members, serving as the liaison with Privacy, Compliance, Control Management, GCO, EDDS, and GSG
- Partner with GABM Operations & Enablement team to ensure processes and governance sync with central guidance
Minimum Qualifications:
- Excellent verbal, written and analytical skills
- Strong operational excellence skills with high degree of creativity in identifying opportunities for new processes
- Proven ability to set the agenda with interest in project management, customer experience, and process improvement
- Ability to assess downstream impacts and potentially conflicting goals to determine the optimal, effective, and compliance requirements
- Ability to ask the “right” questions without having extensive knowledge in a particular business domain
- Ability to challenge the status quo, while maintaining strong relationships with internal and external partners
- Knowledge of Company policies, regulatory environment, or market research is a plus
