Location: Croydon CR9 2BY
Hybrid: 60% Office attendance required scheduled by rota
Hourly rate: £15.92
Working Days/Hours: 37 hrs per week 9am-5pm

Brook Street in partnership with the Home Office has a fantastic opportunity to join their team as an Admin Officer.

Experience Needed/Desired:

  • The ability to multi-task, be flexible, manage a varied workload, prioritise effectively, and react quickly and calmly to changing circumstances.
  • Well organised, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, CID and Atlas.

Desirable skills and experience: Experience of working in immigration, asylum or resettlement.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Resettlement Casework, Visas and Arrivals team (RCVA) in Customer Services has overall delivery responsibility for resettlement in the UK. The work is high profile and offers an opportunity to work at the cutting edge of operational delivery. The RCVA Operational Support Team (OST) provide administrative support for various resettlement teams.

Email and Inbox Management:

  • Monitor and respond to emails in various inboxes.

Data Management and Updates:

  • Monitor spreadsheets and databases.
  • Accurately record data in operational systems to a high quality.
  • Create folders and upload documents onto SharePoint.
  • Ensure guidance documents are updated on a regular basis.

Case Preparation and Consideration:

  • Prepare new applications by carrying out initial checks and data assurance ready for assessment.
  • Case consideration for any outstanding in-country cases.
  • Create eVisa accounts post-arrival and upon receipt of relevant email addresses.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Provide further support to the team with ad-hoc administrative tasks as required.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues in OST and engage fully in the continuous improvement process by suggesting areas for improvement/process changes.

Training:
2 week training period, consisting of mentoring & shadowing. Please note that no annual leave will be permitted during the 2-3 weeks.

Clearance level (to be applied for by Brook Street upon a successful application):
Basic DBS + CTC (Counter Terrorism Clearance)

Role-specific requirements:
You must hold a valid passport and must have lived in the UK for longer than 5 years. Please note that a period of 6 months or longer spent outside of the UK in the last 5 years will unfortunately not be accepted. This role requires security clearance that will be processed for you, if successful.
