Job Title: Associate Director, HEOR – Rare Disease
Location: London (Hybrid – 2 days per week in office)
We are seeking an Associate Director, Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) – Rare Disease to develop and implement HEOR strategies to support the value demonstration and market access of a rare disease portfolio. The role is based in Zug, Switzerland , with a hybrid working model (2 days per week in the office). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in health economics, real-world evidence (RWE), and patient outcomes research within the rare disease or specialty pharmaceutical space.
Key Responsibilities
- HEOR Strategy Development : Lead the design and execution of HEOR strategies to support HTA submissions, payer engagement, and market access for rare disease therapies.
- Economic Modeling & Evidence Generation : Develop cost-effectiveness models, budget impact analyses, and real-world evidence studies to demonstrate product value to payers and other stakeholders.
- HTA & Payer Support : Provide HEOR insights and data to support pricing, reimbursement, and market access activities across European markets .
- Scientific Communication & Publications : Lead the development of HEOR publications, conference abstracts, and white papers to communicate product value.
- Stakeholder Engagement : Collaborate with payers, health economists, and key opinion leaders (KOLs) to shape evidence strategies and address payer expectations.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work closely with internal teams, including market access, medical affairs, clinical development, and regulatory , to align HEOR strategies with broader company objectives.
- Vendor Management : Oversee HEOR study vendors and external consultants to ensure high-quality execution of research projects.
Key Requirements
- Experience : 6+ years in HEOR, market access, health economics, or outcomes research , preferably in rare diseases or specialty pharmaceuticals .
- Education : Advanced degree in health economics, epidemiology, biostatistics, public health, or a related field .
- HEOR Expertise : Proven experience in economic modeling, real-world evidence, patient-reported outcomes (PROs), and health technology assessment (HTA) requirements .
- Regional Knowledge : Strong understanding of European healthcare systems, HTA processes, and payer expectations in key markets (e.g., Germany, UK, France, Switzerland, Nordics).
