Contract Product Owner – Insurance Sector (CRM Transformation)
Location: York (Hybrid – 2 days on-site per week)
Contract Length: 6 months (with potential extension)
Start Date: End of March 2025 (subject to onboarding process)
The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Contract Product Owner to join a leading insurance company, driving the development of a new commercial lines CRM system . This is a key strategic role where you will work alongside a Project Manager, Business Analyst, and development squad , ensuring the successful delivery of a high-impact digital transformation project.
The Role
As the Product Owner, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our client’s CRM system, defining and delivering the roadmap, and ensuring alignment with business objectives. The role involves:
- Owning the product vision and working closely with stakeholders to define objectives and key results (OKRs).
- Collaborating with a cross-functional Agile team , including developers, a project manager, and business analysts.
- Defining and prioritising the product backlog to ensure key business outcomes are met.
- Engaging with senior stakeholders to drive discussions around product strategy and value delivery.
- Ensuring alignment between Phase 1 (Private Client CRM) and Phase 2 (Commercial Line CRM) to create a seamless user experience for both customers and internal teams.
Key Skills & Experience
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Proven experience as a Product Owner within insurance, financial services, or CRM-based transformation projects .
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
- A strategic mindset , ensuring alignment between business goals, technology, and customer experience.
- Experience working in Agile environments , collaborating with development teams, business analysts, and project managers.
- Ability to define and explain outcomes vs. outputs , ensuring product decisions are driven by business value.
- Desirable: A background in customer experience (CX) and CRM systems within an insurance or contact centre environment.
