The role: People Business Partner

In this role you will be partnering with a dynamic team of leaders in an ever-changing, fast-paced and engaging environment.

You\’ll initially work closely with Senior Leaders in the Air Operations Department (includes our Pilots and Cabin Crew) c. 500 colleagues.

As well as your business partner role, you will be involved in leading and supporting with initiatives and projects that will provide you with challenge and variety as well as developing and growing your skillset.

We are a small people team of four colleagues in Cityflyer. However, we are also unique in that British Airways is our Parent Company and that provides us with development opportunities as well as access to their Centres of Excellence.

What you’ll do:

  1. Partner with leadership teams to develop and deliver local people plans in the context of the people strategy. Delivering quality results, on time and to budget.
  2. Work in collaboration with senior leaders, providing support, coaching and challenge to deliver actions that will drive improved organisational performance, including the development of their own leadership.
  3. Constantly review business and people performance, challenging the status quo using data driven insight.
  4. Ensure our organisational design is optimised and spot opportunities to transform the way we work, driving a step change in performance by increasing our efficiency and effectiveness.
  5. Accountable for the delivery of the HR foundation and lifecycle events throughout the calendar year.
  6. In partnership with the line create an effective industrial relations (IR) environment and support with IR discussions and initiatives.
  7. Lead on and support initiatives and projects that might otherwise be delivered by Centres of Excellence.

Your experience:

  1. Experience of working in a generalist HR role.
  2. IR experience (preferred but not essential).
  3. CIPD (preferred but not essential).
