Job Title: Fractional Finance Director (FFD)
Location: Northampton (Hybrid)
Working Hours: 2 days a week initially

Our client: is a provider of award-winning software for the company incorporation and business start-up sector. They are now looking to scale up following recent acquisition talks, and are seeking a Fractional Finance Director to guide them through our next growth phase.
Role Overview: The Fractional Finance Director (FFD) will play a critical role in our company’s growth and restructuring efforts. The FFD will conduct a comprehensive discovery process from the ground up, strategize the necessary restructuring, and implement procedures to streamline and optimize financial performance. This role involves implementing cost-saving initiatives and enhancing operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have experience in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) to help position our clients for successful M&A activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct a thorough discovery process to understand the current financial landscape of the company.
- Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company’s growth and restructuring efforts.
- Streamline financial processes and optimize financial performance.
- Implement cost-saving initiatives and enhance operational efficiency.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
- Ensure the company is well-positioned for M&A activities, including due diligence and integration planning.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial alignment with overall business objectives.
- Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Finance Director or similar role, preferably in a fractional capacity.
- Strong background in financial strategy, planning, and analysis.
- Experience with mergers and acquisitions (M&A) is essential.
- Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods.
- Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) are preferred.
