As a Civil Digital Delivery Lead , you will be part of an organisation that is 100-percent employee owned, that supports and creates many opportunities for you to advance, succeed and fulfil your career aspirations.
In the role of Civil Digital Delivery Lead you will have the opportunity to:
- Liaise with project managers to plan upcoming project needs and flex resources to suit, involving Digital Area Business Class Lead, when required.
- Work closely with the BIM coordinators who are responsible for producing project information models.
- Conduct audits on models to ensure adherence to company BIM standards, using this data to determine training needs that may be required and ultimately escalate to the Digital Management Team.
- Act as the intermediary between designers, clients, and architects so that projects remain efficient and effective.
- Assist staff by producing clear legible drawings and models to company standards.
- Integrate Quality Assurance procedures.
- Liaise with other members of the design team in-house and occasionally the Architect and contractor to coordinate a design package.
- Assist in maintaining BIM and CAD standards for BES.
- Attend external BIM conferences, seminars and workshops, then disseminate knowledge back to the appropriate teams (to be agreed beforehand with Digital Management Team).
- Support the production of collateral marketing material such as case studies.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
- Excellent presentation, communication and client-facing skills.
- Minimum 5 yearsβ experience β Civil 3D / BIM Coordinator.
- Ability to work collaboratively and co-operatively as part of a team.
- Able to establish rapport and good working relationships within the project team, project stakeholders and clients.
- Working knowledge of the latest building regulations for Civil design elements and Civil design principles, including drainage and basic highway design.
- Understanding of the construction design team, tender and construction process.
- Ability to use the following software competently and independently.
- Fully proficient in Autodesk β AutoCAD, Civil 3D and Navisworks and various authoring tools and plug-ins.
- Knowledge of Autodesk Revit advantageous.
- Knowledge of β Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).
- Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
- Knowledge of Solibri advantageous.
- ISO 19650 Certification advantageous.
Required Qualifications
- Technical degree or a combination of education and relevant experience.
- A minimum of 5 years digital design (BIM element authoring) and 10 years digital delivery experience.
- Comprehensive understanding of all discipline relations and operations of building systems.
- Advanced skillset of 3D design software and document management infrastructure.
- Advanced skillset of 3D Coordination tools.
- Advanced skillset of Microsoft Office products and communication tools.
- Familiar with industry standards and practices, along with discipline codes and specifications.
- Familiar with basic automation and programming applications for efficiencies.
- Familiar with 3D design software add-ins and supporting applications.
- Familiar with content creation and management concepts.
- Superior client service, communication, and presentation skills are essential.
- Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively serve as a first line of technical support.
- Excellent communication skills, attention to detail and leadership traits are essential.
- Must have strong organizational skills to establish priorities between technical support requests and project work.
- Must be enthusiastic, energetic, and have an excellent work ethic.
