Field Engineering Manager – Powering the Future of Connectivity!

We’re looking for a Field Engineering Manager to take our field operations to the next level. You’ll lead and develop a high-performing team of Field Engineers, ensuring seamless installations, fault resolutions, MACs (Moves, Adds & Changes), and site surveys across the UK. You’ll work closely with the NOC Manager and Head of Delivery & Projects to drive operational excellence and continuously improve service levels, all while making sure our engineers have everything they need to thrive.
A day in the life of our Field Engineering Manager:
- Lead & Develop – Coach, develop, and upskill our team of Field Engineers, ensuring they’re set up for success.
- Operational Efficiency – Streamline processes, reduce inefficiencies, and make sure our resources are in the right place at the right time.
- Drive Performance – Use data & analytics to boost efficiency, cut out wasted effort, hit KPI’s and deliver real results.
- Service Excellence – Keep our customers happy with Right First Time (RFT) execution, smooth workflows, and lightning-fast issue resolution.
- Own the On-Call Schedule – Ensure 24/7 national coverage with a well-structured regional rota and prioritise work effectively to maintain high SLA performance service standards.
- Driving Continuous Improvement – Challenge the status quo, streamline processes, and implement best practices across field operations.
- Prioritise Like a Pro – Juggle commercial and customer needs to get the most out of every day.
What You’ll Bring:
- 5+ years’ experience managing national Field Engineering teams.
- Strong background in LAN/WAN Networking & infrastructure.
- Proven ability to manage resources effectively.
- Experience leading technical teams of 15+ people.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365, ServiceNow, PowerBI and Excel.
- Certifications in CCNA, Lean Six Sigma or ITIL would be beneficial.
- Ability to cover out-of-hours on-call commitments.
- Security Clearances: BPSS, SC (required).
