Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for updating process documentation and Quality Control Plans.
  • Implement and control Lean Manufacturing techniques.
  • Forecasting and reporting.
  • Ensuring plant efficiency and targets are achieved.
  • Liaising with key stakeholders to ensure production issues are resolved.
  • Demonstrate problem-solving skills, including knowledge of 8D, Six Sigma, 4M’s, PDCA.
  • Implement and expand concepts such as Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, etc., to reduce manufacturing cost and increase process quality and throughput.
  • Provide leadership to cross-functional teams and manufacturing engineers regarding manufacturing process and capability.

Experience:

  • A degree in mechanical/automotive engineering or similar (2:1 or above) or equivalent experience in a similar role.
  • Implementation of safe working practices.
  • Proficiency with CATIA; 3D experience is desired, but not required.

This role involves low volume, high-value performance vehicle production, and the right candidate will have a good understanding of this market.

Occasional travel is required, both to off-site development facilities within the UK and throughout Europe; therefore, a flexible approach to travel is required.
