This is an exciting opportunity to work within our state of the art Lockerbie dairy and Creamery. This 24/7 highly automated plant produces both Arlas fresh milk and cheese products. Our Lockerbie site is undergoing a multimillion upgrade to both the facilities and production equipment. As a Maintenance Engineer, you will provide critical breakdown cover, reactive and preventative maintenance to our high speed processing, filling and packaging equipment, drive continuous improvement and structured problem solving activities to improve operational efficiencies. This will be working on equipment including; Milk pasteurisation, homogenisers, separators process systems, heat exchangers, cooling towers, CIP systems, filers, slicers, cartoners, bottle labellers, cappers, packers, blow moulding machines, weighers, flow wrappers, shrink wrappers, trolley packers. Palletisers, de-palletisers, conveyor lines (chain, spiral), robots (Kuka), vision systems, Spectrum TX rejection systems / OEMS including Siemens, Krones, and Tetra Pak. What youll need in order to be successful in the role Ambition & drive Strong experience as a multiskilled engineer (shift engineer/ maintenance engineer/ engineering technician and the likes) Experience in mechanical and electrical engineering within Manufacturing, Production and Process environments Ideally you will be time served/ apprentice trained as Multi- Skilled Engineer within a manufacturing environment, qualified to a minimum NVQ Level 3/ ONC or equivalent. Ideally you will have experience with fast- moving machinery, pumps, valves, variable speed drives, variable frequency drives, sensors, relays, PLCs (Siemens), Site Services (steam generation plant, chilled water systems, compressors), CIP systems.
