Eames Consulting has partnered with a well-known syndicate that is looking to build out a specialist team to improve its Catastrophe Modelling and Underwriting processes. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in Catastrophe modelling looking to get away from a traditional modelling role.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop tools to be utilised by Catastrophe Modelling and Accumulation Management teams.
- Write and optimise SQL scripts to analyse large datasets effectively.
- Test new tools to ensure reliability and efficiency.
- Collaborate with a wide range of teams globally to improve processes across Catastrophe Modelling and Underwriting.
Requirements:
- 1 year of experience in a Catastrophe Modelling or Exposure Management team.
- Familiarity with RMS or AIR/Verisk modelling software.
- Desire to learn new technologies and utilise the latest technology to streamline processes.
- Experience using SQL and editing scripts.
Desired Experience:
- BSc or MSc in a quantitative or IT discipline (Mathematics, Engineering, Actuarial, Computer Science, etc.).
- Coding experience with C#, Python, R, VBA, etc.
