Job Description

Our client, an established construction consultancy, now have an exciting opportunity for a Structural Design Engineer to join ther team in Warwick on a permanent basis. You will need a minimum of 1 years experience to be considered for this position.\\n\\nThis role will give you the opportunity to work on a variety of projects across different industries whilst working alongside a strong and experienced leadership team.\\n\\nPrincipal responsibilities:\\n\\n * \\n\\n Preparation and checking of structural designs and drawings, specifications and reports.\\n\\n * \\n\\n Represent our client at meetings when required, and attend site to undertake surveys and inspections.\\n\\n * \\n\\n Control the programmed performance of projects.\\n\\n * \\n\\n Brief and supervise Graduate Engineers and Technicians on the production of drawings.\\n\\n * \\n\\n Assist with new business opportunities\\n\\nKey skills/experience required:\\n\\n * \\n\\n At least 1 year of experience in a similar role and working on a variety of projects.\\n\\n * \\n\\n Previous experience of contract negotiations.\\n\\n * \\n\\n A commercial understanding of fee management.\\n\\n * \\n\\n Have proven ability to design structural members in structural steel, reinforced concrete, masonry and timber.\\n\\n * \\n\\n Have an understanding of UK Building Regulations and codes of practice.\\n\\n * \\n\\n Familiar with design softwares such as Tekla Structural Designer, S-Frame, TEDDS, SCIA and CADS.\\n\\nQualifications:\\n\\n * Degree qualified as a minimum.\\n\\n * Aspiring to or working towards Incorporated or Chartered Membership of either the Institution of Structural Engineers or Institution of Civil Engineers
