Summary
Are you a strategic leader in asset management looking for an opportunity to make a real impact? Join our team as an Asset Manager and take the lead in managing and maintaining our Housing Revenue Account (HRA) assets, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and long-term sustainability.
This is a brand-new role created to drive our asset management strategy and deliver on our landlord responsibilities for HRA properties. With a recently developed HRA Business Plan, Asset Strategy, and a 5-Year Investment Programme, you’ll have the opportunity to shape and improve the management of our housing stock while working closely with our in-house contractor and other key stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Leading the strategic management of HRA housing assets, ensuring effective maintenance and compliance.
- Overseeing a varied portfolio of approximately 8,000 homes.
- Managing a budget of approximately £50M across capital and revenue expenditures.
- Driving improvements in programmed maintenance, reactive maintenance, and decarbonisation initiatives to meet our net zero target by 2040.
- Ensuring compliance with the Social Housing (Regulation) Act 2023 and other relevant legislation.
- Developing long-term investment plans based on lifecycle cost analysis.
- Managing procurement and contracts, ensuring value for money and high-quality service delivery.
- Engaging with residents, key stakeholders, and members to align asset management strategies with community needs.
About you
- A strong background in asset management, property management, or a related field.

- A strategic mindset with the ability to develop and implement long-term asset management plans.
