Senior Recruitment Consultant – Placing Application Support Talent into Leading Financial Services Companies

Harrington Starr is delighted to partner with a leading systematic trading firm that is seeking a talented Application Support Engineer to join their growing L2/L3 support team. This role offers the chance to work closely with multiple teams, including Portfolio Managers, Research Technology, and Execution Services, in a fast-paced and highly collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide hands-on support and troubleshooting for quantitative trading systems and real-time analytics.
  2. Develop and enhance monitoring tools and processes.
  3. Contribute to new feature development in Python and C++.
  4. Manage system configurations and deployment processes.
  5. Assist with onboarding and integration of new technologies.

Key Requirements:

  1. 2+ years of professional experience in support and/or software engineering.
  2. Experience with trading system support (low-latency environments a strong plus).
  3. Strong proficiency in C++, Python, and SQL.
  4. Familiarity with the software development lifecycle and production deployment.
  5. Cloud experience is a strong advantage.
  6. Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
