Job Title: Commercial Finance Analyst
Location: Leicestershire (Head Office)

Are you looking for a dynamic finance role where you can make a real impact? We have an exciting opportunity to join the Next Commercial Finance team as a Commercial Finance Analyst . Based at our head office in Leicestershire , you’ll play a key role in managing and reporting on head office cost centres across Facilities, Security, HR, Legal, and Finance.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Managing the month-end accounting process, including accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Allocating head office costs across key Next divisions (Retail, UK Online, Label, and International).
- Preparing detailed finance reports, variance analysis, and commentary for senior management.
- Building strong relationships with cost centre managers, attending monthly reviews, and providing insights on budget variances.
- Leading the preparation of budgets and forecasts to support cost control and efficiency.
- Driving process improvements and enhancing cost management using Power BI .
- Managing the Next company car accounts, business recharges, and leasing model.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience in a commercial finance role, with a strong understanding of accounting principles.
- Studying towards ACCA or CIMA (or equivalent).
- Strong analytical skills , with the ability to work with Excel, SQL, and Power BI (preferred but not essential).
- A confident communicator, able to liaise effectively with both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
- A high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and ownership of tasks.
- A proactive and flexible approach to problem-solving.
