Job Description

Our Client based in London ( London Branch of a Global Bank) seeking an IT & Cyber Security Specialist / IT Manager to oversee the Bank’s IT infrastructure, cybersecurity compliance, disaster recovery, and IT governance. This role requires both strategic planning and hands-on technical expertise to maintain network security, Windows Server environments, virtualization, cloud infrastructure, and business continuity planning (BCP/DR).\\n\\nThe ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in IT operations, Windows erver administration, VMware ESXi, Azure, firewall security, and IT risk management, ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of the Banks IT environment.\\n\\nKey Role and Responsibility\\n\\n1. IT Infrastructure & Network Management\\n\\n * Windows Server & Virtualization: Manage and maintain Windows Server (2012/2016/2019), Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and VMware ESXi environments.\\n\\n * Network Administration & Security: Oversee firewalls (Cisco, Fortinet), VPNs, VLAN configurations, and network security policies to ensure a secure IT environment.\\n\\n * Cloud Services & Microsoft 365: Manage Azure AD, Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, OneDrive, and SharePoint, ensuring smooth cloud operations.\\n\\n * IT Asset Management: Oversee procurement, lifecycle management, and documentation of IT hardware and software.\\n\\n2.

Cybersecurity & IT Governance\\n\\n * Security Compliance & Risk Management: Align IT security frameworks with PRA, FCA, GDPR, ISO 27001, and NIST guidelines.\\n\\n * Threat & Incident Management: Conduct regular risk assessments, penetration testing, vulnerability scanning, and incident response to mitigate cyber threats.\\n\\n * Firewall & Network Security: Configure, monitor, and secure firewalls and intrusion detection systems (IDS/IPS) to prevent security breaches.\\n\\n * Third-Party Risk Management: Evaluate and manage outsourced IT services and vendor security compliance.\\n\\n3. Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery (BCP/DR)\\n\\n * Backup & Recovery Strategy: Implement and maintain BCP & DR plans, ensuring data integrity through Veeam, Commvault, or equivalent backup solutions.\\n\\n * Failover Network & Redundancy: Ensure network failover solutions (Leased Line+ FTTP redundancy) are in place to maintain uptime.\\n\\n * IT Resilience & Disaster Simulation: Regularly test DR plans and conduct IT continuity drills to minimize downtime risks.\\n\\n4. IT Operations & End-User Support\\n\\n * Helpdesk & IT Support: Provide 1st, 2nd, and 3rd-line IT support, resolving user issues related to Windows, networking, and applications.\\n\\n * Onboarding & Offboarding: Manage system access, permissions, and ID provisioning for new employees.\\n\\n * IT Documentation & SOPs: Maintain comprehensive IT policies, security procedures, and compliance documentation.\\n\\n5.

Vendor & Project Management\\n\\n * IT Budget & Procurement: Assist in managing the IT budget, sourcing new technologies, and handling vendor negotiations.\\n\\n * IT Infrastructure Projects: Lead server upgrades, security enhancements, cloud migrations, and infrastructure expansion.\\n\\nQualifications & Requirements\\n\\nEssential Qualifications:\\n\\n * 3+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and business continuity.\\n\\n * Expertise in Windows Server (2012/2016/2019), Active Directory, Group Policy,DNS, DHCP.\\n\\n * Experience with virtualization (VMware ESXi, Hyper-V) and cloud services (Azure, Microsoft 365).\\n\\n * Hands-on experience with firewalls (Cisco, Fortinet), VPNs, IDS/IPS security, and network administration.\\n\\n * Strong PRA, FCA, GDPR, ISO 27001, and NIST compliance knowledge.\\n\\n * Experience in BCP/DR planning, backup strategies (Veeam, Commvault), and IT risk management. ·\\n\\n * Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. ·\\n\\n * Fluent English communication skills (both written and verbal).\\n\\nDesirable Qualifications:\\n\\n * Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE), Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), Cisco Certified Network Administrator (CCNA).\\n\\n * Experience implementing Zero Trust security frameworks and SIEM solutions (Splunk, Sentinel, ELK Stack).\\n\\n * Financial sector IT security experience is a plus
