Network Consultant – Aruba, Remote Based
Roc Technologies provides industry-leading, transformative IT services to both public and private sector organisations across the UK.
We are looking for a Network Consultant with expertise in Aruba networking solutions and a passion for delivering top-tier designs and deployments, eager to work on innovative network transformation projects.
As a Network Consultant, you will play a crucial role in supporting low-level network designs, leading implementation and testing phases, and ensuring successful project-to-operations transitions. You will work across varied customer environments around the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to implementation and deployment planning
- Develop solution-based and component-specific test strategies
- Review and refine low-level designs to align with customer needs
- Maintain 75% billable utilization, escalating where required
- Stay up to date with industry trends, implementing best-in-class networking solutions
- Collaborate with Project Managers, Engineers, and Service Managers for successful project delivery
- Lead technical discussions with customers, ensuring clarity and approval
- Identify and escalate risks, issues, and dependencies
- Conduct pre-staging and testing of network components
- Support implementation engineers during deployment, ensuring best practices and design adherence
- Create documentation to facilitate knowledge transfer and operational handover
Skills and Experience:
- Demonstrable experience in Wireless and LAN technology implementation and design
- Strong expertise in Aruba networking (switching, WLAN) and ClearPass
- Knowledge of technical change control processes and experience in writing low-level designs
- Ability to communicate complex technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders
- Experience working with Palo Alto or Fortinet firewalls (desirable)
- Relevant certifications such as ACMP/ACP-CA, ACCP/ACP-NS, NSE4/FCP, PCNSA (preferred)
