Role Overview: As a Lead Engineer, you will spearhead the delivery of groundbreaking engineering projects from conception to manufacture. This role demands a unique blend of technical expertise, creative problem-solving, and strong leadership skills. You will be responsible for guiding projects through rapid development cycles, de-risking delivery for our clients efficiently and effectively.
We are currently looking for someone with a mechanical engineering bias, although our projects usually involve whole system integration and systems, therefore the role suits people who enjoy working in multi-disciplinary teams to deliver exceptional integrated solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage multi-disciplinary engineering projects, ensuring delivery to client requirements and solving complex technical challenges.
- Oversee project timelines and maintain high-quality standards.
- Facilitate effective communication and coordination across diverse technical teams.
- Identify and manage project risks proactively.
- Contribute to business development activities, including requirement interpretation and solution generation.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment.

Qualifications:
- Degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.

- Proven experience in working directly with hardware and machines.
- Experience in leading multi-disciplinary teams on technical projects.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop junior engineers.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in 3D CAD systems (Autodesk Inventor preferred, but not essential).
- Familiarity with rapid prototyping techniques.
- Knowledge of industry-standard project management tools.
