Policyholder Tax Consultant

We have an exciting role for a Policyholder Tax Consultant within our Pension Servicing business. The successful candidate will have experience of a policyholder tax (operational taxes) function with a focus on the control environment, regulatory compliance and the effective operation of the tax compliance cycle. This will enable clear, concise, and accurate financial and tax reporting to both internal and external stakeholders as well as various regulatory bodies.
Your day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Perform BAU daily activities re daily submissions of tax data to third parties/HMRC
- Perform regular sampling and checking on customer services processes/outputs to ensure that policyholder tax is being administered accurately and in accordance with HMRC rules
- Perform tax reconciliations, submission of returns, agree tax liabilities and facilitate payment
- Perform HMRC deliverables to ensure accurate and timely returns are submitted for pensions and bonds products
- Provide accurate and timely technical support, analysis and guidance to business areas
- Establish and maintain relationships with managers in Customer Service & business units.
- Plan and manage own workload
- Maintain technical knowledge relevant to policyholder (operational) taxes

- Hold a tax qualification (ATT/CTA) or be qualified by experience
