Senior Mechanical Engineer Our client, a leading energy company within the Nuclear sector, is seeking a Permanent Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their dynamic team in Abingdon. In this role, you will be an integral part of the Engineering team, collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams on an array of exciting projects, from Front End Engineering Design (FEED) to commissioning phases. Your expertise in mechanical engineering will directly contribute to the success of various technical studies and the design of mechanical processes, making a significant impact on project outcomes and operations. Proven experience as a Mechanical Engineer with a strong background in mechanical engineering principles. Demonstrable ability to deliver and manage technical studies/projects effectively. Expertise in the design of mechanical processes, from strategic to detailed design and construction & commissioning phase support. Ability to produce technical documentation including technical notes, substantiation notes, mechanical flow diagrams, P&IDs, and mechanical layout drawings. Experience with hazards and malfunctions management, and review of technical specifications from the supply chain. Knowledge of mechanical handling systems and heavy mechanical transfer systems in high active environments, including gloveboxes. Experience in working with mechanical processes related to powder handling, milling, and compaction. Strong technical networking skills, able to collaborate with various experts within the organisation.
