Interim Finance Manager – Private Equity Backed Multisite Nursery Business Location: Remote (occasional UK travel required) Start Date: January 2025 Contract length: 6 months Rate: £450 – £500 per day outside IR35 RB007 The Opportunity: Finatal is delighted to be partnering with a rapidly growing, private equity-backed nursery group that is scaling its operations through an ambitious buy-and-build acquisition strategy. The business is seeking a skilled Finance Manager to support the integration of newly acquired entities, streamline financial systems, and enhance operational efficiencies. Key Responsibilities: Lead the integration of finance functions from newly acquired businesses, ensuring smooth transitions of processes and systems. Oversee the migration of all entities onto Xero, ensuring consistency and compliance across the group. Prepare and oversee completion accounts for acquisitions, liaising with stakeholders to ensure accuracy and timely delivery. Manage the consolidation of financial data across the portfolio, providing insight into performance trends. Drive the development of robust financial controls and reporting processes to support the scalability of the business. What We’re Looking For: Fully qualified accountant ( ACA/ACCA/CIMA ) with a strong understanding of acquisition accounting and integration processes. Proven experience working within a private equity-backed or multisite environment is highly desirable. Expertise in Xero and the ability to oversee financial systems transitions. Strong knowledge of completion accounts and familiarity with M&A processes. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across teams and with external stakeholders. Highly motivated self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
